Herbal Teas have been used for centuries as remedies for a multitude of ailments, injury, infections and more. Moreover, teas can be a tool for relaxing and distressing after a long day. A morning cuppa’ tea for energy and waking up the entire body and mind, or something soothing for helping your digestion or icky feeling.

A cup of tea hot or cold is the easiest way to use herbal remedies, its my favorite way to start and end my day. and the best part you can make a variety of teas from ingredients you probably already have around the house and in your backyard. Here are 10 Healing tea recipes for you to try.

1.Morning metabolism boost

  • 1tsp dried Green tea leaves
  • 1/4-1/2 tsp lemon zest and or 1 slice lemon
  • Pinch- 1/4 tsp grated ginger
  • Sweetener optional.
  • Steep for 5-7 minutes, strain, enjoy!
    • Green tea is renowned for its metabolism booting and stabilizing properties. Lemon helps regulate your PH and helps with digestion, ginger is also good for digestion.

2.Anxiety reliever

  • 1 tsp dried catnip
  • 1/2 tsp chamomile
  • 1/2-1 tsp honey (optional)
  • Steep 5 minutes, strain enjoy.
    • Catnip may stimulate cat but it has the opposite effect on us. Catnip has calming properties to help slow the mind and help you relax, with double relief from the added chamomile and honey for added nutrients and a touch of sweetness for a soothing effect.

3.Mood Enhancer:

  • 1 teaspoon dried St. John’s Wort
  • 1 teaspoon dried lemon balm
  • 1 teaspoon dried lavender
  • Steep in hot water for 5-7 minutes. Add honey if desired.
    • St. John’s Wort may help improve mood and alleviate mild depression.
    • Lemon balm has calming effects and helps reduce stress.
    • Lavender promotes relaxation and uplifts mood.

4.Immune Boosting #1

This tea combines infection fighting properties with rich nutrients, which boosts your immune system. Perfect during cold and flu season

White Yarrow
  • 1 tsp dried yarrow
  • 1tsp dried elderberry
  • 1tsp honey (optional)
  • Steep 5-10 minutes, strain, add honey if using. And enjoy. Drink up to 4x a day if sick.
    • Yarrow has antiviral, antiseptic and helps fights infections and helps boost the immunity.
    • Elderberry is packed full if vitamins, minerals and antioxidants which also boost immunity and help fight off infections and viruses.

  • 1 teaspoon dried echinacea roots
  • 1 teaspoon dried elderberries
  • 1 teaspoon dried rose hips
  • Steep in hot water for 5-7 minutes. Add a splash of lemon juice.
    • Echinacea boosts the immune system and may reduce the duration of colds.
    • Elderberries are rich in antioxidants and support immune health.
    • Rose hips provide vitamin C, essential for immune function.
